3D Hubs Star Wars Design and Print Competition Sets The Heats Of Superfans On Fire

The largest network of 3D printers, 3D Hubs, launched a design competition for 3D printing Star Wars related objects and a bunch of great designs were already submitted.

Star Wars themed 3D objects are around since 3D printing has become available, like the famous Yoda head seen in the picture above.

The competition is bringing out the best designs. Here are some examples (in no particular order):

Figurines: Low Poly Darth Vader, Bottle Cap Heads

Robots: R2D2

Blasters and Lightsabers: Han Solo Blaster, SE-44C, Boba Fett Blaster, Luke Skywalker Lightsaber, X-Wing pilot helmet

Spaceships and walkers: A-Wing, Motorized AT-AT

And a C3PO – Prosthetic arm.
