3D Platform Launches 3DP Workbench, Large-Format 3D Printer-Workshop Hybrid

The 3D-Printer manufacturer 3D Platform introduces a new device: the “3DP Workshop”. It features a massive build area of 1 x 1 x 0.5 m and is build onto a mobile workshop.

The use of industrial-grade mechatronics enables a resolution of 70 microns per layer. All axes are controlled by servo motors that should have 85% greater torque for faster acceleration (they use „SurePrint Servo Technology“). It’s possible to print different materials such as PLA, HIPS, Nylon, PVA or ABS. 3D Platform has planned to release the 3DP Workbench at the end of the first quarter 2016.

With the new combination of 3D printer and workbench. the company wants to create more flexibility. The whole 3D printer is built onto a workbench with wheels to make it moveable. Early April 3D Platform will show the 3DP Workbench on a conference (28th Annual Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) Education & Training Conference). To create this device 3DP Workbench has collected user-expierence from all over the world:

The 3DP Workbench is more than just another 3D printer, it has been designed through a professional user-experience process—with input from engineers, product developers and top creative talent around the world—incorporating tools they need to take our 3D platform to the next level
