Using Moon2STL you can create a 3D printed topographical model of a selection of the lunar surface.
The program uses data from the Unified Lunar Control Network (ULCN) Moon DEM from 2005. Images have a resolution of 16 pixels per degree or about 1895 meters per pixel on the equator.
The process can be completed in a few simple steps. You just need to set the dimensions, place a marker on a certain location and click the download button to get the STL file. The vertical scale can even be changed for a more interesting looking model.
Head to Moon2STL to create you own 3D printable section of the lunar surface.
