On February 25 and 26, 2026, the trade fair KPA – Kunststoff Produkte will take place in Ulm. The event is aimed at trade visitors from development, design, purchasing, and production and offers a compact overview of current technologies for the manufacture of plastic components. One focus is on the practical integration of additive manufacturing and conventional production processes.
At booth F-B9, Speedpart demonstrates how 3D printing is used in real industrial projects. The focus is on applications ranging from functional prototypes to near-series plastic parts. The company does not position additive processes in isolation, but as part of end-to-end process chains that link design, toolmaking, and series production.
A key topic is the so-called KPA Tool World, in which the interlocking of additive manufacturing and conventional toolmaking is illustrated. Speedpart presents hybrid approaches in which, for example, 3D-printed tools are used for pre-series production or special geometries and later supplemented by conventional injection molding tools. According to the company, this approach makes it possible to shorten development cycles and validate iteration steps at an earlier stage.
From a technological perspective, the focus includes Multi Jet Fusion for the cost-effective production of functional plastic components as well as stereolithography using the material Accura Xtreme Black. The latter is aimed at applications where dimensional accuracy and surface quality are critical, such as housings or functional models. This is complemented by insights into the company’s in-house toolmaking, including practical exhibits from various industries.
In addition to technology, Speedpart places emphasis on consulting. Trade visitors can discuss specific components, evaluate material selection and manufacturing strategies, and clarify technical feasibility through direct exchange. In this way, the trade fair presence is understood less as a product showcase and more as a platform for dialogue on industrial 3D printing solutions in combination with established processes.
