3D Printing Company Alphaform AG Files for Bankruptcy

German 3D printing service provider Alphaform AG applied for the opening of bankruptcy proceedings on July 28, 2015 due to impending insolvency.

Over the course of the bankruptcy proceedings, the company intends to continue to implement the restructuring efforts that started in June 2015.

The operative business at Alphaform AG will continue as normal, explains chairman of the board Dr. Hanns-Dieter Aberle: “Alphaform has stood for high-quality and punctual manufacturing for years now. The current situation will not change this in any way whatsoever. Our customers can continue to rely on us as they have always done.

Alphaform AG was founded in 1996, with its headquarter based near Munich and subsidiaries in Germany, Finland, Sweden and the UK. As a service provider, the company specialises in the development and production of additive manufactured parts, serving the automotive and aerospace industry, the mechanical and plant engineering as well as the tool making and medical technology sectors. Alphaform’s shares are listed in the prime standard segment of the Frankfurt stock exchange (ATF; WKN 548 795).
