3D Robotics (3DR) has made the design files for IRIS+ available for download on MyMiniFactory. Users will be able to construct the drone themselves after purchasing the necessary electronic components.
This is the first time 3DR has released design files, which shows their commitment to open source. They also encourage DIY drone fans to add and embellish parts of the IRIS+.
MyMiniFactory has already printed and assembled the drone and offers a brief assembly guide on their website, along with informations on the best printer settings to get optimal results. They also offer a free collection of accessories and adapters for the IRIS+, such an extended landing gear, a mounting bracket and a FPV camera and transmitter mount.
