Unlike common CAD software, 3D Slash is an easy-to-use and fun 3D modelling application for non-designers, or, as the developers call it, “a 3D Piece of Cake”.
Using intuitive design tools, you can slash or add cubes to create 3D objects with an accuracy of up to 1/16 mm, which can then be exported as STL files for 3D printing. Additionally, you can drag-and-drop your picture on the 3D Slash cube to help shape your design or import STL files to be modified.

The free application is available either as web app or local app for the following operating systems: OSX, Windows, Linux. 3D Slash recommends to get started with the web-based app but download the more powerful local app to further explore the software, due to technical limitations of browsers.
3D Slash has also recently partnered with the cloud 3D printing software platform AstroPrint.
