The 3DDruck e.V. association is starting 2026 with organizational changes and new areas of focus. After a labor-intensive year, the association points to a broad base of committed members, active advisory board members, and a board team that is set to evolve. The focus is on personnel decisions, the continuation of ongoing tasks, and the preparation of new formats, also with a view to additive manufacturing applications.
One key change concerns the responsibilities within the executive board. Ralf Anderhofstadt, previously active on the advisory board and involved as a subject sponsor, is taking on the role of extended board member for digitalization and logistics. The association hopes that this will enable it to integrate expertise at the interface of additive manufacturing, digitalization, and logistics processes more closely into the work of the executive board. Over the course of the year, Anderhofstadt will work closely with Chairman Dr. Justus Wilhelm Bobke. The association will announce further details on the planned developments in the coming weeks.
At the same time, continuity remains an important factor. Dr. Markus Wiedemann, Dr. Andrea Lietz-Partzsch, and Hagen Tschorn will continue in their roles, which include managing premises, finances, and the further development of the advisory board. Anna-Sophie Himmelreich will also remain involved as an extended board member. Changes will result from the retirement of Peter M. Scholz and Andreas Velten from their roles. The association describes their contribution as professionally and organizationally influential and intends to fill the vacant positions with the aim of bringing in new perspectives.
In terms of content, the association is building on ideas from 2025. A meeting at 3D-WERK Black Forest GmbH in St. Georgen served as a working format with members and advisory board members. Three project ideas were finalized there, which will now be pursued further in the advisory board and general meeting.
At the same time, a focus on the medical field is growing. A 3D medicine event is in preparation for May 2026, which aims to bring together clinical users and experts in additive manufacturing. The goal is to pool knowledge and, if necessary, initiate a continuous think tank format. The initiative comes in particular from Dr. Andrea Lietz-Partzsch and Dr.-Ing. Tina Schlingmann, supported by other committed individuals.
