3DGence announces INDUSTRY F421 High-temp FFF 3D Printer

3DGence extends its portfolio of INDUSTRY focused solutions with a new high-speed printer, Material Management System, AS9100 Certified PEEK, and 3 Year Warranty.

3DGence, launches the next version of their class-leading FFF INDUSTRY portfolio, the INDUSTRY F421. In conjunction with this launch, 3DGence will release an AS9100 Certified PEEK Aero Filament for Aerospace, Space, and Defence applications, as well as a Material Management System (MMS) with pre-programmed configurations for proper storage, preparation, and annealing of industrial filaments with quick visibility and continuous data feed to 3DGence CLOUD. The company also announces a new 3-year warranty in select markets for their new INDUSTRY portfolio printers – the F421 and F350.

INDUSTRY F421
3DGence INDUSTRY F421 extends on the prior class-leading F420, with enhancements in mechanics, components, workflow, and standard safety features.

“With a focus on Industry Certified materials such as AS9100 PEEK, ULTEM™, and advanced materials for Medical applications, the requirement towards sequential printing of end-use parts motivated the newest version of our INDUSTRY portfolio. The rigid kinematic system has been optimized for high-speed, high-accuracy dual-head printing, a higher constant chamber temperature, the extrusion system is full-composite ready with extended durability, and the new tablet-oriented screen has an enhanced, user-friendly workflow. In addition, we are providing standard safety features such as status/signal tower and emergency stop button for full, immediate shut-down of logic.” – Mateusz Sidorowicz, 3DGence Marketing Director

With a rapid shift from prototypes to end-use parts and full-function models made with the highest performing materials, Industrial machines are expected to provide repeatable, accurate results. The 3DGence INDUSTRY F421, with its wide range of materials with quick-change printing modules, high-temperature printing chamber, enhanced mechanics, and components, and 3DGence CLOUD connectivity enables users to shift from prototyping to rapid production.

3DGence AS9100 CERTIFIED PEEK AERO
The Aerospace industry poses one of the most demanding applications requirements for Additive Manufacturing. As AM technology and materials have risen to meet this demand, new opportunities abound for expanding the range of applications in end-use parts. PEEK is widely renowned for being high-strength, flame/heat resistant, and anti-corrosive. The AS9100 certification ensures full confidence in quality of production and traceability for this progressive filament – with UL94 V-0 flammability resistance and chemical resistance, while providing high-strength and ultra-light parts where high-operating temperature, strength, and anti-corrosion is required. The AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management System is based on ISO 9001 QMS standards, and tailor-made for Industrial and Military Aerospace applications.

”At 3DGence, we are supporting our customers across industries in expanding the use of high-temperature and composite materials for end-use applications. The Aerospace industry has the most stringent requirements for material performance due to demanding application environments and critical safety imperatives. Furthermore, PAEK has already been utilized as a composite material in other technologies and forms (LMPAEK), and this extension provides a market solution for filament extrusion technologies to expand the range of applications. Our customers can now rapid prototype and produce proof-of-concept end-parts in PEEK – without doubt of compliance and qualification of the material.” – Ron Faruqui, CEO 3DGence Americas

3DGence AS9100 Certified PEEK AERO provides a competitive material advantage and expands the range of applications for end-use parts for the Aerospace, Space, and Defense industries. With a maximum operating temperature of 260°C, the options have expanded for Aerospace AM end-use applications. Each spool of 3DGence PEEK AERO is fully traceable, ensuring product quality and compliance and is available for use on the 3DGence INDUSTRY F421, along with other high-temperature, industry certified materials.

MATERIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (MMS)
The company also will release their Material Management System (MMS) to help automate the otherwise cumbersome activity of proper material storage, preparation, and post-processing – especially with high-temperature thermoplastics. As industrial adoption and applications of advanced engineering and high-temperature materials has grown, automation and pre-configuration can reduce the risk for error in proper material management. Improper handling and preparation can cause failed prints, and has a major effect on the mechanical properties and performance of the printed parts.

“In the MMS system, we aim to separate the distinct activities of storage, preparation, and post-processing. Beyond visual quality are the mechanical properties of the prints, which if not managed, can result in significant loss of productivity. Many of our customers are scaling their AM towards production grade parts, and the MMS system is designed to support this direction. 3DGence certified open-market material management requirements are pre-configured into the system, which also has continuous feed to our 3DGence CLOUD system. Along with the MMS, we will continue to roll-out some exciting end-to-end features in our AM solution throughout 2022.” – Krzysztof Wilk, 3DGence CTO

3-year warranty – Continuous Rapid Production
Industrial is a commonly used term in 3D printing today. However, Industrial Grade end-use parts requires not only advanced engineering and high-temperature materials, but also mechanics and components that are high performance, durable, and built for sequential printing. During Covid-19, supply chains have been significantly disrupted, and shortages of key components with increased lead-times and quality challenges is a known concern. 3DGence seeks to address this concern with a strong message of standing behind their quality and service, providing customers and users peace of mind for continuous rapid production

“With the launch of our new F421, and recent F350, we wanted to make our commitment clear to our users about our quality and service with this new industry standard in warranty. As the market has progressed in requirements and complexity of applications, we designed our printers to meet these enhanced expectations in build quality, component integrity, and ease of use and maintenance. This 3 Year Warranty provides peace of mind for the user and emphasizes our commitment to a high-quality experience with 3DGence technology.” – Sebastian Sczasny, Technology Portfolio Director MS Galleon and Group CEO, 3DGence.

The 3 Year Warranty will be available in select European markets in 2022, expanding to additional markets in 2023.
