3D scanner specialist 3DMakerpro presented its latest 3D scanner at this year’s Formnext trade fair. The “Eagle” was specially developed to capture detailed 3D data of rooms and environments. It combines LiDAR technology with high-resolution image sensors.
With an integrated battery and compact design, the scanner is mobile and supports applications such as digital twins, precise mapping, virtual reality environments, reverse engineering and 3D printing. The market launch is planned for December.
Professor Paulo Bartolo from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore and head of the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) emphasized the importance of modern scanning technologies at the product launch. 3DMakerpro also took the opportunity to announce a partnership with NTU Singapore. Sponsorship of the SC3DP was also announced. The aim of this collaboration is to promote the integration of 3D scanning technologies in education and industry.
Workshops and training sessions are planned to promote the use of the technology in areas such as engineering, architecture and medicine. Practical projects and case studies will establish the scanner as a tool for innovative applications.
