3DQue Systems has announced that its AutoFarm3D automation platform is now fully compatible with Bambu Lab’s Developer Mode. This allows print farms based on Bambu’s P1, X1 and A1 models to be automated and centrally managed. The combination of the software with Bambu’s powerful hardware should enable a scalable and reliable production environment.
AutoFarm3D is a software solution specially developed for the operation of multiple 3D printers, which supports functions such as automated job routing, queue management, error detection and automatic part ejection. The integration with Bambu Labs Developer Mode allows users to implement these functions on the manufacturer’s devices – including compatibility with the automatic material feeder (AMS) and additional hardware such as door openers or ejection systems.
The solution is designed to efficiently control even large print farms with up to 500 devices. Among other things, users benefit from the automated allocation of filaments via the AMS, which reduces the need for time-consuming manual intervention. In addition, print jobs can be distributed to suitable devices within the farm based on specific criteria, which optimizes utilization and throughput.
3DQue CEO Steph Sharp sees the partnership with Bambu as a step towards more efficient and decentralized production models. By opening up Developer Mode through Bambu, third-party providers such as 3DQue have the opportunity to access system functions and integrate them into their own automation solutions. This enables more flexible and automated operation, even in semi-industrial environments.
The full integration is primarily aimed at professional users who use additive manufacturing not only for prototypes, but also as a production-relevant process.
