3rd ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING FORUM Berlin 2019

On 14 and 15 March 2019 the 3rd Additive Manufacturing Forum, supported by the foundation partners AIRBUS, Deutsche Bahn, Stratasys, 3yourmind and Mobility goes Additive, took place in Berlin.

More than 850 participants, 71 exhibitors as well as 60 speakers and experts from the automotive, railway, aerospace, mechanical engineering, chemical, medical technology, transport and logistics, consumer goods and retail, science and education sectors met at the Estrel Congress Hotel in Berlin for a user-oriented exchange.

Within a very short time the AM Forum has established itself as one of the most important professionally oriented 3D printing conferences in Europe. Also this year the participants were offered various formats like practice-oriented lectures, keynotes, panel discussions, use cases and workshops in front of a sold out scenery. The focus of this conference is on cross-industry knowledge exchange and networking between industrial users, research institutions and additive solution providers.

The opening speeches were held by Dr. Jens Telgkamp, Head of Additive Manufacturing Research & Technology, Airbus Operations and Dr. Hans J. Langer, Chairman & Founder, EOS Group. Other highlights included user reports by Marco Kormann, Director Technology Innovation, adidas AG, Maximilian Hauk, VP Pilot Plant and Additive Manufacturing Campus, BMW Group, Stefanie Brickwede, Head of Additive Manufacturing, Deutsche Bahn AG and Dr. Reinhard Nöbauer, Member of the Management Board, voestalpine High Performance Metals GmbH.

The main recipients were both – beginners and advanced users of the technology, who share the common goal of learning from each other in the use of the new technologies across industries.

After the event is before the event: The registration process for the upcoming 4th Additive Manufacturing Forum in Berlin on 11 and 12 March 2020 is already in full swing. Interested persons and companies can therefore already register on the forum’s own homepage. In the coming year, the event will also offer numerous opportunities for a value-adding exchange with experts at eye level in a compact format over two days. The short distances, the concentrated know-how of the speakers and exhibitors as well as the creative working atmosphere are the big plus of the event.
