The US company PostProcess Technologies has introduced two new solutions for the automated post-processing of 3D printed parts. The “DEMI X 520” models specialize in the fully automated removal of resin residues after the printing process.
According to PostProcess, the patent-pending “Axial Flow Technology” in the DEMI X 520 systems enables particularly efficient and gentle cleaning of the component surfaces. The integrated software controls automated processes with validated parameters to ensure the best possible results and consistency.
In addition to process automation, PostProcess also relies on environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals without isopropanol. In combination with the optimized flow conditions in the cleaning chamber, this should prevent damage to sensitive component structures.
According to PostProcess, the solution is already proving its worth in industrial applications, including at US dental component manufacturer Great Lakes Dental Technologies. There, its use has led to measurable increases in efficiency in post-processing. With the extended capabilities of the new DEMI X 520 series, PostProcess intends to further expand its role in the field of automated post-processing solutions.
