ADDiTEC and BFW develop groundbreaking hybrid platform for additive manufacturing

ADDiTEC, a US-based additive manufacturing company, has announced a strategic partnership with Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd (BFW), India’s largest CNC manufacturer. This collaboration represents a significant advancement in additive manufacturing by combining the strengths of both companies to develop a groundbreaking hybrid platform.

Brian Matthews, CEO and Founder of ADDiTEC, commented on the partnership: “We are thrilled to partner with BFW, combining our advanced additive manufacturing technology with their extensive expertise in precision machine tools & engineering. This Hybrid platform represents a significant leap forward when compared to all other products on the market, providing a versatile solution that meets the evolving needs of our additive industry.”

The newly developed hybrid platform integrates advanced technologies such as Liquid Metal Jetting (LMJ) and High-Power Laser Directed Energy Deposition (DED) into one CNC machining system. This all-in-one system offers unprecedented flexibility and performance and sets new standards in the additive manufacturing industry. It significantly expands the possibilities that are being pushed by innovation and technological boundaries.

Ravi Raghavan, CEO and Managing Director of BFW, added: “Our collaboration with ADDiTEC is a testament to our commitment to innovation and product excellence. By integrating cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies with our industry leading CNC machines, we are poised to revolutionize the manufacturing landscape, offering our customers unmatched flexibility and performance.”

At TCT3Sixty, which took place on June 5 and 6, 2024, attendees had the opportunity to see this pioneering system up close. The event showcased the technological advances and innovative approach taken by BFW and ADDiTEC, highlighting the potential for transformative change in manufacturing processes.
