On March 27, 2025, the Additive Manufacturing Day Bodensee-Oberschwaben (AMD) will take place in Bad Waldsee for the fifth time. The event offers industry and research professionals the opportunity to learn about current developments in additive manufacturing and 3D scanning. It is organized by 3D-MODEL, a specialist retailer for 3D printers and scanners in Germany and Switzerland. In addition to expert presentations, the program includes live demonstrations and hands-on workshops. Participation is free, but registration is required by March 24.
3D-MODEL CEO Philipp Binkert is pleased with the event’s development and this year’s program: “With more than 100 participants, the AMD has become a must-attend event for many AM enthusiasts. Under the motto ‘Experience Technology,’ both beginners and experts can gain in-depth insights into the latest developments in additive manufacturing and 3D scanning again this year.”
The lecture program includes contributions from international manufacturers as well as industry case studies. Speakers include representatives from Formlabs, a-metal, LOOP 3D, AMT, and Artec 3D. Topics will cover advances in material and printing technology and their industrial applications. The program is complemented by live demonstrations of plastic and metal 3D printers, scanners, and post-processing methods for printed components.
A particular focus will be on new printing technologies. Formlabs will present its fourth-generation MSLA printers, which promise shorter printing times and high process stability. A-metal will introduce a metal 3D printing system with a closed material cycle. Artec 3D will showcase new scanners, including the metrological Artec Point and the high-resolution Artec Spider II.
The event provides companies across all industries with an opportunity to explore additive manufacturing solutions that can enhance production efficiency. In addition to the presentations, experts will be available for individual consultations. Registrations can be made via the organizer’s website.
