Discount supermarket chain ALDI is going to sell the Cocoon Create 3D Printer along with a 3D Printing Pen and filament in their stores in Australia as of Wednesday next week.
The Special Buy offer includes the Cocoon Create FFF 3D printer available at AUD 499, the Cocoon Create 3D Pen for AUD 79 as well as 1 kg PLA filament spools at AUD 34.99. The devices are manufactured by Concoon Create, a company that is part of the Australian electronics developer and wholesaler Winplus.
The 3D printer supports their proprietary PLA, ABS, PVA and HIPS filaments in 1.75 mm diameter and is therefore equipped with a heated bed. Objects with a maximum build volume of 200 x 200 x 180 mm are printed with an 100 to 400 micron layer resolution. The stand alone printer includes a Micro SD card and Cura software.
The 3D Pen includes 1 spool of PLA filament but features adjustable heat settings allowing to use other plastic filaments as well.
