The company Aibuild has announced the opening of a new office in Silicon Valley. This step is intended to intensify cooperation with US partners and customers and further advance the development of AI-supported additive manufacturing solutions. The new office is located on NIKON‘s research campus in the San Francisco Bay Area and is intended to further strengthen the close cooperation with the Japanese company.
The expansion into the United States marks an important milestone for Aibuild, which specializes in automated manufacturing processes. By being physically close to its North American customers, the company expects to be able to respond more quickly to market demands and implement new technologies more efficiently. The strategic partnership with NIKON, which is one of Aibuild’s main investors, is also intended to accelerate the transfer of knowledge in additive manufacturing.
Daghan Cam and Michail Desyllas, the founders of Aibuild said: “Expanding into United States with a new office in Silicon Valley is a pivotal moment for Aibuild. Getting closer to our key customers and partners in the region will allow us to respond to their needs faster. Working alongside NIKON in our new location will also deepen our partnership and accelerate our efforts to bring AI-driven automation into manufacturing.”
In addition to developing new software solutions, the office will serve as a center for research and cooperation with manufacturers in North America. This is particularly important for industries with high precision and production reliability requirements, including aerospace, defense and energy. The increasing importance of digital manufacturing processes and the desire for greater independence in global supply chains make innovative additive manufacturing technologies particularly relevant in these sectors.
Yuichi Shibazaki, Corporate Vice President at NIKON and the Co-CEO of NIKON Advanced Manufacturing Inc. said: “We are excited to support Aibuild’s expansion into the U.S. and welcome them as our neighbor on the West Coast. As a technology partner, we have great confidence in their vision and innovation. This close proximity will strengthen our collaboration and accelerate synergies, driving innovation together in this dynamic market.”
Aibuild will present its current developments and plans for the future at the Additive Manufacturing Strategies Conference in New York City from February 4-6, 2025.
