Aibuild, a provider of software for autonomous manufacturing processes, has closed a strategic funding round to further industrialize AI agents in production. The round was led by existing investor IQ Capital; new investors include 212 NexT and Driventure, the corporate venture arm of Ford Otosan. ACT Venture Partners, Force Over Mass Capital, and Atlas Ventures are also staying on board.
At its core, the focus is on scaling 3D printing toward serial production. Aibuild positions its platform as “Physical AI” that maps manufacturing constraints such as process windows, material behavior, and machine limits into software.
“This funding accelerates our transition into a new era where AI agents leave the screen and enter the factory floor,” said Daghan Cam, Co-founder and CEO of Aibuild. “For too long, additive manufacturing has been held back by a reliance on tacit engineering knowledge. We are breaking these barriers. By empowering engineers to deploy AI directly into their workflows, we are enabling large enterprises to solve their most complex production challenges, drastically reducing lead times and increasing throughput.”
COO Michail Desyllas emphasizes the strategic nature of the round: with Driventure and 212 NexT, Aibuild can integrate more deeply into industrial supply chains and deliver “intelligent, secure manufacturing solutions” for enterprise customers.
Michail Desyllas, Co-founder and COO, added: “This isn’t just capital; it is strategic validation. Having partners like Driventure and 212 NexT onboard allows us to integrate deeper into the industrial supply chain and deliver the intelligent, secure manufacturing solutions our enterprise clients require to compete.”
Commenting on the decision to back the company, Caglar Urcan, General Partner at 212 NexT, said: “Aibuild delivers exceptional automation and quality assurance in large-scale additive manufacturing, earning rapid adoption from leading industrial groups. We are very happy to join this round to back Daghan and Michail and to support Aibuild in expanding its industrial reach through our industrial investor base and wider industry network.”
From a technical perspective, Aibuild relies on hardware-agnostic connectivity, including through a partnership with Nikon. On the roadmap are rapid physics simulations for defect prediction, combined workflows spanning additive manufacturing and CNC milling, and mechanisms for encapsulating proprietary process know-how. For safety-critical industries, Aibuild also plans to offer “air-gapped” infrastructures for isolated production environments and to expand its U.S. presence—for example in aerospace, defense, and energy.
İlknur İlkyaz Gül, General Manager at Driventure, added: “To unlock the full potential of next-generation manufacturing, we must bridge the divide between digital innovation and industrial scale. Aibuild’s platform delivers the robust infrastructure necessary to streamline complex production workflows and drive true digital transformation. We are proud to invest in a solution that empowers a more efficient and sustainable industrial future.”
