Altair is hosting the virtual technology conference “ATCx AI for Engineers” on June 26, 2025, which will focus on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in development, manufacturing and simulation. The event is aimed at experts from the fields of design, simulation and additive manufacturing and offers practical insights into AI-supported workflows.

A central theme of the event is the use of AI to accelerate simulation-supported processes, including in the field of 3D printing. In the “Where Physics Meets AI” track, experts will show how AI methods such as generative design or digital twins can be combined with physics-based simulation to efficiently optimize complex component geometries. In additive manufacturing in particular, these approaches open up new ways of designing components and planning production, for example through early error prediction or automated support structure generation.

“Whether you want to speed up simulation, streamline production, or make better decisions faster, this virtual event will give you the strategies, tools, and insights to bring AI into your workflows and push the boundaries of what’s possible,” said Ravi Kunju, chief product and strategy officer, Altair. “ATCx AI for Engineers will show how organizations can apply AI in ways that matter.”

In addition to the area of design, a second thematic strand offers insights into AI-based process optimization for manufacturing. Among other things, data-driven maintenance strategies, quality prediction and adaptive process control are on the agenda here – fields of application that are also becoming increasingly important in industrial 3D printing. The third track will shed light on the role of high-performance computing (HPC) as an infrastructure for AI applications in large-scale simulation scenarios.

Participation in the event is free of charge and is offered in several time zones and in eight languages. In this way, Altair aims to promote global exchange on the further development of AI-supported technologies – also in the context of additive manufacturing.
