AM-Flow introduces new generation of AM-QUALITY for automated quality control

AM-Flow will be presenting the latest version of its AM-QUALITY technology at Formnext 2024, which has been developed for precise and automated quality control in production environments. The solution is designed to enable seamless monitoring of manufacturing quality directly on the production line, allowing errors to be detected and corrected at an early stage.

The AM-QUALITY technology is characterized by extremely high precision and is able to identify defects such as breaks, deformations and surface defects during the printing process. With an accuracy of 50 micrometers, the system detects even the smallest deviations and can therefore significantly improve quality standards in additive manufacturing. Integration into production lines is facilitated by the high flexibility of the technology, which can be adapted to a wide range of geometries and easily integrated into existing systems.

Thanks to the use of eight high-speed coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), AM-QUALITY creates detailed 3D scans that are compared with the digital output files such as STL, STEP or CAD. This technology performs a real-time “OK/Not OK” evaluation, which is completed within five seconds, and can inspect up to 720 parts per hour. Optionally, full measurement reports can be generated to provide a detailed analysis of production status.

The latest generation of AM-QUALITY is particularly suitable for manufacturers operating in sensitive areas such as medical technology or the automotive industry, where maximum precision and reliability are required. Interested parties can experience the AM-QUALITY solution live at Formnext 2024 at stand H12.1, C19 and get an idea of how automated quality control can improve the production process.
