The Belgian company AMIS has received two awards for its AMIS Pro software solution. In the USA, it was placed among the finalists for this year’s SME AM Start-Up Technology Award. At the same time, it was nominated as a finalist in the Software category at the TCT Awards 2025 in the UK. Both awards recognize developments that make additive manufacturing (AM) processes more efficient and less error-prone.
AMIS Pro specializes in automated build preparation for selective laser sintering (SLS), multi-jet fusion (MJF) and jetting processes. The software supports users in optimizing part placement, analyzing print defects and preparing for machine integration.
“In today’s dynamic global market, being recognized across multiple regions reaffirms our dedication to innovation and excellence,” said Kris Binon, Managing Director of AMIS. “We are proud that our cutting-edge solution is making an impact in the Additive Manufacturing industry, and these awards validate our relentless pursuit of excellence in both software development and start-up innovation.”
In technical terms, AMIS Pro aims to address typical weaknesses in the build preparation process. This includes the reduction of manual interventions, which often lead to error-prone or inefficient results in classic slicer workflows. Algorithm-supported optimization allows both the construction time and the use of materials to be calculated more precisely. The software was designed not only for large industrial plants, but also for medium-sized production environments.
Based in Ghent, AMIS is pursuing the expansion of its platform with an international focus. Increasing automation in additive manufacturing and the growing complexity of industrial printing processes are creating a need for specialized software solutions. The current awards could serve as an impetus for broader market acceptance, particularly with regard to applications in series production.
