ARCWAY has emerged as a new company specializing in the global marketing of ultrasonic atomization systems for metal powder production and the provision of complete additive manufacturing solutions. The company originates from the Polish research and development firm 3D Lab, which has nearly two decades of experience in additive manufacturing and developed the compact ATO metal powder atomizer. While 3D Lab continues to focus on research and production, ARCWAY is dedicated to scaling and distributing this technology worldwide.
The ATO system uses an ultrasonic process to atomize molten metals, producing highly spherical powder particles with a defined grain size distribution. These characteristics are essential for consistent powder flow and stable layer formation in additive manufacturing processes such as Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF), Directed Energy Deposition (DED), and Binder Jetting. Thanks to its modular design, ATO systems can be customized for different production environments and integrated into existing manufacturing lines.
In addition to supplying the systems themselves, ARCWAY also offers on-demand production of metal powders. The process can handle virtually all common alloys—from wire feedstock to recycled materials. Since no minimum batch size is required, the technology is particularly suitable for research institutions, material testing, and small-scale production.
“ARCWAY and 3D LAB are two sides of the same coin, one focused on innovation, the other on global delivery. Together, they form a complete ecosystem for advanced manufacturing,” said Jakub Rozpendowski, CEO of ARCWAY. “I’ve always believed that great technology deserves great distribution. ARCWAY is built on that belief, to connect, deliver and grow.”
“Additive manufacturing is no longer just about prototyping, it is about precision, repeatability and industrial scalability. With ARCWAY, we are making sure that ATO technology reaches every corner of the world where innovation matters,” he added.
With this approach, ARCWAY aims to support the transition of metal additive manufacturing from prototyping to full-scale industrial production. The focus is on flexible, locally deployable solutions that enable companies to produce powder materials on demand and shorten supply chains. ARCWAY thus positions itself as a provider of complete infrastructure for the industrial use of ultrasound-based metal powders in 3D printing.
