Arkema gets a ProMaker P1000 for its new Global Center of Excellence for 3D printing

Prodways announced on January 8, 2020 new sales of selective laser sintering machines to the leaders in industrial chemistry for R&D and manufacturing applications. With these different sales, Prodways Group is bolstering its relationships with its longtime material suppliers.

In addition to multiple sales to DSM and BASF announced, Prodways discloses today the name of the third chemical giant mentioned in the previous press release: Arkema.

The French chemical player is continuing to engage in collaborative research with the leaders on the additive manufacturing market to develop new, custom materials tailored to its customers’ needs.

Through a financial partnership with the Normandy region, Arkema has decided to open in Serquigny, in the group’s largest research laboratory dedicated to advanced materials, a Global Center of Excellence for 3D printing by powder bed fusion.

This new center houses collaborative areas and latest-generation printers, and it supports the acceleration of the development of this technology as an industrial manufacturing method.
