Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Artillery has announced the M1 Pro, a new model in the high-end desktop segment. The 3D printer combines high printing speed, intelligent sensor technology and a robust design.
The device uses a CoreXY system with linear guides on all axes, which should enable high speed with stable print quality. The maximum printing speed is specified as 600 mm/s, with an acceleration of up to 20,000 mm/s². In combination with a maximum material flow of 35 mm³/s, this places the M1 Pro in the upper performance range of comparable FFF systems.
A key feature is the AI-based monitoring system. An integrated camera detects printing errors such as “spaghetti” misprints or material problems in real time. In addition, a sensor system checks the installation space for foreign objects before printing starts. The automatic calibration and the interplay of print bed and nozzle temperature control support the processing of complex materials such as PA, PC or CF-reinforced filaments.
The heated chamber can reach up to 60 °C, reducing the risk of delamination in engineering plastics. The hotend area is actively heated up to 320 °C. The use of hardened steel components in the extruder and nozzle increases the service life, especially with abrasive materials.
The machine is controlled via its own firmware (“Artillery OS”) with a touchscreen and Wi-Fi connection. Integration into existing workflows via PC software or SD card is also possible. The build volume is 260 × 260 × 260 mm and therefore offers space for a wide range of applications. The printer is also compatible with a filament changer from Artillery. This allows printing with multiple colors.
An official price has not yet been announced. The market launch is planned for April 5.
