Artist Remakes Famous Portraits With 3D Printing

Photographer Daniel Warnecke reshot and 3D printed some models mimicking famous photographic portraits.

Paintings and photographs have a place in arts. To make people think about the place of 3D printing in the arts Daniel remade some famous portraits from photos and paintings.

Daniel Warnecke about his project:

WE ARE ON THE BRINK OF A 3D PRINTING REVOLUTION. COMMERCIAL USES SUCH AS PRINTED FIGURINES PROVIDE A REPRESENTATION OF THE SITTER DISPLAYED AS A PHOTOGRAPHIC OBJECT. BUT WHAT IS THE LEGACY OF THESE OBJECTS? WILL THEY EVER BE VALUED AS HIGHLY AS A PHOTOGRAPH OR PAINTING?
