Asiamold Select – Guangzhou, a trade fair specializing in tool and mould making, design and product development, took place at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from 25 to 27 February 2025. This year, there was a special focus on 3D printing and its integration into modern manufacturing processes.
The fair showcased a wide range of products and services, including tools and mold making, rapid prototyping, various materials, surface treatment, quality control and the latest technologies in 3D printing and laser technology. This diversity offered visitors a comprehensive insight into the latest developments and applications in additive manufacturing.
The Guangzhou Industrial Technology fair was held in parallel with Asiamold Select, complementing innovative solutions from the industrial manufacturing sector. This combination enabled participants to discover synergies between traditional mold making and modern manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing.
A central element of the trade fair was the extensive supporting programme, which addressed current trends such as digitalization, smart mould technologies and developments in the field of additive manufacturing. The “3D Printing Technologies in Mould Making Summit” shed light on how additive manufacturing is used in the production of mould inserts, the optimization of cooling channels and prototype development. In addition, the “Smart Moulding Industry Summit” discussed the role of automation and digitalization in mould making.
Mr Louis Leung, Deputy General Manager, Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd emphasised: “The strong visitor turnout and positive feedback from this edition demonstrates the continuing value of our concurrent exhibition format. By presenting technologies ranging from tooling and mould making to automation and intelligent solutions under one roof, this approach enables manufacturers to make more informed investment decisions, helping them address both their current needs and future capabilities.”
The fair attracted professionals from various industries, including the automotive industry, electronics and household appliances, mechanical engineering, packaging and printing, medical technology, consumer goods and lighting. This diversity underlined the broad applicability of the technologies and solutions presented at the trade fair.
Asiamold Select 2025 impressively demonstrated how 3D printing and related technologies are influencing and transforming the manufacturing industry. By integrating additive manufacturing methods, companies can shorten their product development cycles, increase flexibility and realize customized solutions more efficiently. The trade fair thus provided a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge and the promotion of innovations in the field of manufacturing technology.
