ATLIX, which emerged from TRUMPF Additive Manufacturing, is using Formnext 2025 (Hall 12.0, Booth D99) to reposition its portfolio for the metal powder bed process. At the center are two revised laser powder bed fusion systems, the TruPrint 5000 and TruPrint 3000, both clearly aimed at series production and high machine availability. They are complemented by a new version of the TruTops Print data preparation software.
The TruPrint 5000 is designed as the largest system in the series and offers a build volume of 500 × 500 × 400 millimeters. The system operates with four 1 kW lasers whose beam diameter can be adjusted between 80 and 200 micrometers. A two-sided coater is intended to ensure uniform powder distribution even over large areas. At the core of the platform is an optical system with in-situ Automatic Multilaser Alignment, which monitors and automatically corrects the alignment of the beam sources during the build job. Added to this is an automatic build-job restart function that can resume the process after interruptions, thereby limiting downtime.
Below the 5000, ATLIX positions the new TruPrint 3000 generation. The machine now features a build volume of 300 × 300 × 400 millimeters, providing around 30 percent more build area than the previous model. Two 700 W lasers, revised exposure strategies and a focus on reproducible process windows target applications in medium-scale series production, for example in toolmaking, the aerospace supply chain or medical technology. ATLIX describes it as a system positioned at the upper end of its size segment.
In parallel, TruTops Print has been revised. According to the manufacturer, the software significantly reduces the file size of build jobs and shortens their processing and transfer to the machine controller, which is particularly relevant for complex support structures and large volume data.
“In continuity with our legacy as TRUMPF Additive Manufacturing, our innovations all have one target: make additive manufacturing a truly industrial reality,” said Marino Ferrarese, Head of Sales and Marketing at ATLIX. “With the new TruPrint 5000 and TruPrint 3000, we continue to turn our vision of scalable, reliable, and industrial grade Additive Manufacturing production into reality.”
