Autodesk Releases Netfabb 2017

Autodesk releases the first update to Netfabb since it acquired netfabb last year – Autodesk Netfabb 2017.

For years Netfabb provided a all-in-one software solution for additive manufacturing purposes. It features options to optimise designs to take advantage of the complex structures 3D printing is capable of.

But also has features which helps optimise the arrangement of multiple objects on a build platform and places them to fit more objects into one print.

For userers which already own a Autodesk subscription for Netfabb can download the new version for free. As a new user you can subscribe to three different Netfabb plans: Standard, Premium and Ultimate.

Advanced functions like simulations, intelligent support structures and design optimisation are only available with the Ultimate version.

Samir Hanna, vice president und general manager for digital manufacturing at Autodesk:

“Additive manufacturing is having a profound impact on how manufacturers of all sizes look at product design, production, distribution and economies of scale. With Netfabb 2017, Autodesk has created a single set of industrial tools that help move from design to finished part quickly and easily.”

The new version improves data processing speeds for different tasks, adds a range of tools to manipulate designs and also adds improved solutions for adding supports to objects.

Autodesk Netfabb 2017 Premium can be tested for free for a whole month.

If you are a student you can get a free version from Autodesk.
