PostProcess Technologies has introduced the DEMI X 520 for Dental PolyJet, an automated solution for the post-processing of 3D-printed dental parts. The system was specially developed to meet the requirements of dental laboratories that use PolyJet technology. The aim is to optimize the process of support material removal to ensure consistent quality of the printed parts and reduce the workload.

“As a dental lab utilizing PolyJet technology, we are always looking for solutions that enable us to be more efficient without compromising quality,” said Olivier Mangot, Co-Director of Ninety!, a cutting-edge dental production centre located in Saint-Etienne, France. “I am no longer dependent on an operator. With this solution, I can clean 20 times more parts than before and get incredibly high-quality results.”

The new system is based on the proven DEMI X 520 platform, which uses the company’s own Axial Flow technology. Variable pump speeds and predefined software controls ensure efficient and reproducible post-processing. In combination with specially developed chemical solutions and intelligent software, the system is designed to improve the workflow in dental laboratories and avoid manual bottlenecks in post-processing.

“At PostProcess Technologies, we’re committed to delivering innovative, safe, and efficient solutions that empower dental labs to meet the demands of today’s rapidly evolving additive manufacturing market,” said Jeff Mize, CEO of PostProcess Technologies. “The DEMI X 520 for Dental PolyJet reflects that commitment by providing an application specific production system that simplifies and automates the post-printing workflow, maximizing lab productivity and safety.”

The AUTOMAT3D digital platform enables full customization and automation of the process with storable recipes and one-button operation. This allows dental labs to achieve consistent productivity while reducing labor costs. With the introduction of this technology, PostProcess Technologies aims to further optimize post-processing in dental technology and sustainably improve the efficiency of additive manufacturing processes.
