AVOC 3D Printer Launches on Indiegogo for $ 139

Hungary-based startup AVOC 3D has just launched a crowdfunding campaign for their affordable and fast 3D printer on Indiegogo.

The team has created a desktop machine that is both cheap and fast. The light and compact 3D printer reaches a printing speed of 100 mm/s. Its enclosed build chamber does not only improve the print quality but also makes it a safe device due to hot components being kept away from children and flammable materials.

As components are kept to a minimum by the development team, costs for parts and labour time could be reduced. According to AVOC 3D the assembly time only takes 30 minutes per printer. While the device does not feature a heated print bed, users can work with ABS filament as it sticks well to the plastic material used for the bed. The hotend is custom made to achieve a higher reduction in weight which is necessary for the printers performance.
