Axtra3D and 3DChimera Partner for High-Speed SLA Printing

The US-based company Axtra3D has announced a partnership with 3D printing specialist 3DChimera. This collaboration aims to provide businesses with easier access to high-precision and productive resin printing solutions. As an authorized reseller, 3DChimera will introduce Axtra3D’s high-speed SLA technology across various industries.

Axtra3D has developed an approach with its Hybrid Photopolymerization System (HPS) technology that combines the speed of DLP with the high surface quality of SLA printing. While traditional SLA processes often require long exposure times and DLP printing systems struggle with detail accuracy and uniform curing, HPS technology is designed to overcome these limitations. The partnership aims to make additive manufacturing solutions with high precision and efficiency more accessible across industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical technology, and product design.

Alex Hussain, CEO of 3DChimera, emphasized how this partnership aligns with the company’s vision: “At 3DChimera, we believe that advanced technology should be easy to use and deliver exceptional outcomes without complexity. Axtra3D’s innovations, reflect this ethos, and we are excited to help our customers simplify their production workflows while achieving new levels of precision and efficiency. We are particularly impressed with the stability of the organization, an experienced AM team and a diverse material partner ecosystem.”

In addition to distributing the printing systems, the two companies plan to collaborate closely on technical aspects. This includes joint marketing and training initiatives as well as enhanced support for customers integrating high-performance SLA printing into their production processes.

“Axtra3D is dedicated to removing the limitations of traditional 3D printing by offering solutions that don’t compromise on speed, quality, throughput or scalability. Partnering with 3DChimera allows us to connect with more businesses looking for breakthrough performance in resin-based printing. Their expertise in additive manufacturing makes them the perfect partner to help expand access to our Hi-Speed SLA technology,” said Greg Elfering, EVP, Sales, Axtra3D.

With this partnership, Axtra3D and 3DChimera position themselves as providers of industrial SLA printing solutions that combine high printing speed with detail accuracy and surface quality. How the technology performs in practice will become clear in the coming months.
