Bambu Lab announces P2S 3D printer for October 14, 2025

Chinese manufacturer Bambu Lab has officially announced the launch date for its new P2S 3D printer. After several weeks of rumors and sold-out stocks of the previous P1S model, the new machine is set to be unveiled on October 14. The company posted a brief announcement on social media channels, stating that the “classic has been further developed.”

With the P2S, Bambu Lab is likely to replace the successful P1S series, which has been one of the most popular closed CoreXY printers in the desktop sector since its introduction. The P1S was considered a reliable but now technically outdated platform. In view of increasing competition from models such as the Anycubic Kobra S1 Pro, an update was to be expected.

Bambu Lab has not yet released any specific technical details. However, conclusions can be drawn from the name: The “P” stands for a closed desktop platform with medium build space, while the number “2” indicates a new generation. The final “S” means, as with the H2S series, a single-extruder variant. This means that the P2S – similar to the P1S – is likely to feature a single print head and be primarily designed for standard materials such as PLA, PETG, or ABS.

There is also no official information on the price yet. Since the P2S is intended to replace the P1S, it is likely to be in a similar price range – probably between $800 and $1,000. Bambu Lab thus continues to position itself in the upper segment of desktop devices for ambitious hobbyists and semi-professionals.
