After several leaks and an official announcement, Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Bambu Lab has now unveiled its new model: the Bambu Lab H2D.
Some technical details had already been leaked in advance. With the H2D, Bambu Lab has unveiled a new all-in-one system that combines additive manufacturing, laser processing and digital cutting in a single device. The H2D combines a large build volume of 350 × 320 × 325 mm with a wide range of functions.
The central components of the system are a dual-hot-end extruder for multi-color printing and a laser module with either 10 or 40 watts of power. The printing process is supported by a large number of sensors, including cameras for real-time monitoring, a vision encoder for high-precision motion control and the DynaSense system for dynamic extrusion control. The aim is not only to improve print quality, but also to continuously monitor the material flow.
In addition to 3D printing, the H2D can engrave and cut a wide range of materials. A contactless 3D height scanning system, a rotating attachment for cylindrical objects and a camera-supported alignment function are available for applications such as plywood or foils. The automatic calibration of focus, material thickness and cutting path is designed to further reduce the workload. The process is supported by the in-house Bambu Suite software.
The new AMS generation (Automatic Material System), in particular the AMS HT, enables the processing of high-temperature filaments. It is also optimized for improved drying and storage. With active deaeration, automatic spool rotation and RFID recognition, material logistics are raised to a higher level.
The price for the new model is 2199 euros. The Bambu Lab H2D is available in the official store and from authorized resellers.
