Bambu Lab presents Bambu Farm Manager, a new solution for managing large 3D printer fleets that does not require a cloud connection. The software is aimed at professional users, educational institutions and companies that want to manage multiple devices centrally while retaining full control over data and networks.
After a one-year beta phase, the software was soft-launched on May 27, 2025 and currently supports the P1, A1 and X1C series models. Compatibility with the X1E is planned for the third quarter, with support for the H2D to follow by the end of the year.
The Farm Manager consists of two components. A locally running server service, which communicates continuously with the connected printers, and a client application for control and monitoring. All communication takes place within the local network, which makes the software particularly interesting for environments with strict data protection requirements.
Key features include real-time monitoring, group sending of commands and an intelligent print queue that distributes print jobs according to availability. In addition, the software offers structured file management with folders, tags and filter options. An optional function for the staggered start of print jobs helps to avoid load peaks in power consumption.
The number of devices that can be managed is not limited. The only decisive factor is the performance of the network and computer used. This means that the software is also suitable for larger print farms with several dozen devices.
The Farm Manager is currently free to use and runs on Windows systems from version 10. According to Bambu Lab, extended, chargeable functions are being planned, but there are no concrete details on scope or prices as yet.
With this locally controllable solution, Bambu Lab offers a scalable and data-secure alternative to cloud-based fleet management systems, which is particularly suitable for professional environments with a high administrative workload.
