In the last few days, information about the new H2D 3D printer from Bambu Lab has been leaked. An image that has emerged shows a printer with a dual-nozzle switching toolhead, which enables switching between two nozzles. The installation space is said to be 350 x 320 x 325 mm, which is larger than the manufacturer’s previous models.
Another interesting detail is the “Heated AMS HT”, which refers to a heated automatic material system optimized for handling high-temperature filaments. This would be particularly advantageous for printing technical plastics.
The green panels of the device and a module on the top labeled “LASER 10W” with an emergency stop switch are also striking. This indicates that the H2D can potentially be used as both a 3D printer and a laser cutter.
Back in December 2024, there was a leak showing the H2D and a new AMS. In October 2024, Bambu Lab announced that the launch of new 3D printers would be postponed until early 2025. Dr. Tao, CEO and co-founder of Bambu Lab, explained the delay at the time:
“We are developing a product that will push the boundaries of what is possible in consumer 3D printing. The extra time will ensure that we deliver on this promise and deliver a product that is fully mature and supported globally.”

Bambu Lab has now launched an official landing page for the H2D. Not many details are known yet, but a headline shows the title “Personal manufacturing reimagined”. You can also see two extruders in a picture. The launch has been announced for March 25, 2025 at 3 p.m.
