Bambu Lab has introduced “Flexi Toy”, a new online tool. The free generator is now available in the company’s own Makerlab. Users can use it to easily create flexible 3D toys – without any prior knowledge.
The principle is simple: you upload any image and the tool automatically converts it into a printable 3D model. The objects created resemble typical Flexi figures and can be downloaded immediately. Although Bambu Lab optimizes the models for its own printers, other FDM devices can also process the files without any problems.
“Flexi Toy” is part of a whole series of online generators that Bambu Lab provides via Makerlab and Makerworld. These include tools for creating pixel puzzles, vases and individual signs. The applications are primarily aimed at beginners and makers who want to create print-ready models without CAD experience.
With the web-based tools, Bambu Lab is pursuing the goal of further simplifying access to 3D printing. The new Flexi Generator now adds a playful component to the range – and brings new creative possibilities to the printing plate.
