BigRep has unveiled the new ONE.5 large-format FDM 3D printer at Formnext 2024, an enhanced version of the proven ONE platform. With a build volume of 1000 x 1000 x 1000 mm, the printer is aimed at companies that want to grow beyond the limitations of smaller FDM systems. The ONE.5 combines robust hardware with new features to offer versatility and an enhanced user experience.
The printer is equipped with the Dual PEx2 extruders, which enable a 40% higher flow rate. These extruders offer support for a wide range of materials, including soft and carbon fiber reinforced filaments. Thanks to wear-resistant diamond nozzles and a powerful dual drive mechanism, the system ensures reliable material processing. The twin-mode function of the extruders also allows the simultaneous printing of different materials, which further increases efficiency.
The semi-automatic printing plate of the ONE.5 is equipped with two magnetic exchangeable plate options that ensure strong adhesion for different materials. An integrated inductive sensor and a semi-automatic bed leveling system further improve print quality.
To protect materials from moisture and dust, the ONE.5 has a filament dry box that can accommodate all common spool sizes, including large 8 kg spools. A filament sensor interrupts the printing process as soon as the material runs out, making it easier to change the spool. A webcam enables remote monitoring of the print, while customizable print parameters ensure flexible application options.
