Irish startup Ourobotics, founded by Jemma Redmond, was awarded the top prize at the Silicon Valley Open Doors (SVOD) Europe conference held in Google’s Dublin HQ last week.
The (SVOD) has become a leading tech and investment conference in Silicon Valley since 2005 and offers entrepreneurs an opportunity to interact with and learn from industry leaders. In 2015, the event came to Europe for the first time in an effort to connect the Eastern European tech community with more established ecosystems.
The 3D Bioprinter developed by Ourobotics is capable of printing with up to 10 different (bio)materials at a time. Its heated enclosure keeps the cells warm during the printing process.
The three winning teams of the competition will now present their projects at the Google Headquarter in Silicon Valley.
