Block presents new 3D printer for precision and speed in the industry

Blocks has introduced the RF50, a new 3D printer tailored to the demanding requirements of industrial manufacturing. The RF50 combines high precision, speed and a large build volume to efficiently realize complex projects in areas such as aerospace, tooling and product development.

“We designed the Blocks RF50 to address the growing demand for big volume, fast, adaptable, and precise 3D printing technology in high-stakes fields,” said Duarte Bragadesto, CEO of Blocks. “This launch brings to the market a powerful tool that not only improves product quality but also significantly reduces lead times, giving our clients the competitive edge they need in an increasingly fast-paced environment.”

The RF50 offers a build size of 50x50x50 cm, enabling the production of large and complex components in a single print run. With print speeds of up to 600 mm/s and an acceleration of 32,000 mm/s², the device ensures fast production without compromising on detail.

“Our vision with the Blocks RF50 was to set a new standard in 3D printing for industries demanding both precision and efficiency,” says Alexandre Guerreiro, CTO of Blocks. “With advanced tech specifications, the RF50 is engineered to handle complex, large-scale projects with accuracy and speed. We’re especially proud of its innovative design, optimized to deliver high-performance printing for sectors like aerospace, product design, and engineering.”

A special feature of the RF50 is its versatility in processing different materials, which makes it ideal for applications such as the production of aerospace components or detailed prototypes. User-friendly controls, including remote access and real-time video monitoring, make it easy to use and increase productivity, both on-site and remotely.

Blocks also plans to offer an upgrade to the RF50 in 2025: An automated filament control system will optimize material management, automate filament roll changes and reduce waste, among other things. This function will be available as an upgrade for existing devices.

The market launch of the RF50 block is planned for November 29, 2024, with the first deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. Interested parties can pre-order the printer via the Blocks website.
