Brooklyn-Based 3D Printer Manufacturer gCreate Expands Operations and Headquarters

Manufacturer of the gMax 3D printer series, gCreate, expands its Brooklyn-based headquarters and operations to more than triple the size of the previous space.

With their 3D printer initially introduced by a successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2013, the company started to operate out of Industry City Brooklyn in mid-2014. The recent expansion will allow the company to keep up with the increasing demand of their printers and services. According to a recent press release, gCreate is on its way to break a 300% year-over-year revenue from 2015 to 2016.

Their team manufactures, assembles, tests and ships all of their gMax 3D printers in Brooklyn. The larger space will also provide capacity for their large format 3D printing services.

With 3D printing manufacturer MakerBot outsourcing its production from Brooklyn to China earlier this year, gCreate is obviously proud of their NYC-based company. “To be able to expand our operations and remain in Brooklyn is a huge win for us,” said gCreate Co-Founder Anna Lee. “We are proud to be a NYC-based company that is creating manufacturing jobs locally and also supporting many US suppliers in areas such as Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Upstate New York.”
