The close integration of additive manufacturing, metrology, and digital quality assurance is increasingly shaping modern production environments. Against this backdrop, the British Carfulan Group is using the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics trade fair to present its expanded technology portfolio. The event takes place from February 3 to 5 at the Farnborough International Conference & Exhibition Centre and marks the start of an extensive trade fair season for the company.
One focus is on industrial 3D printing solutions, particularly systems from Stratasys, which Carfulan offers via its subsidiary SYS Systems. Among other things, components made from the material P3 Silicone 25A are being showcased, which is designed for elastic applications in prototyping and low-volume production environments. Such materials are gaining importance in industries such as medical technology, consumer product development, and sealing technology, as they allow functional testing under conditions closer to later series production.
“There is a huge appetite from industry to gain greater quality control and increased productivity, and our technologies can help businesses achieve these aspirations,” commented Lewis Hearne, Group Marketing Manager at Carfulan Group. “2025 saw us grow across all our solutions and 17% as a group, which is a fantastic performance. This is just the start. We now want to amplify our message and that’s why we’ve committed to our biggest event schedule ever, beginning with Southern Manufacturing in February.”
At the same time, the group is presenting new solutions for quality assurance, which are becoming increasingly critical for the industrial use of additive manufacturing processes. These include the SmartScope M7 from OGP UK, a multisensor measurement system featuring high-resolution optics and software-based zoom technology. The portfolio is complemented by optical measurement systems from VICIVISION and Metrios, as well as tool presetting solutions from ZOLLER, which support a consistent process chain from design through to production.
He continued: “Often visitors to events don’t understand that we offer multiple solutions and technologies from across our group and we are trying to change that. This more proactive approach puts us face-to-face with the people we want to be talking to; manufacturers, engineers and decision-makers, and gives us the chance to have important, practical conversations about what they’re working on and where we can offer support to help them measure parts more accurately, design more freely and manufacture more efficiently.”
Lewis concluded: “From advanced metrology and tool management to automated inspection and smart manufacturing systems, our stand is the place to see proven technologies shaping the future of precision manufacturing. We want visitors to drop by, see what’s new at Carfulan this year, and have an open conversation about their manufacturing challenges. Whether it’s ideas, problems, or plans for 2026, we’re here to help get things moving and provide a solution tailored to their business.”
With the combined presence of various specialists, the Carfulan Group positions itself as a point of contact for companies that do not view 3D printing in isolation, but rather as part of an end-to-end, quality-driven manufacturing strategy.
