The bioprinting center cost around 2.7 Million US-Dollar and it’s a pretty ambitions project of different universities and other partners.
Australian researchers are already on the forefront of 3D bioprinting innovations. Now they want to be in an even better position and therefore they have built a new research center. For the center named ACES, there are five different universities involved: University of Wollongong, Queensland University of Technology, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, Deakin University and the University of Melbourne. Furthermore different hospitals and the 3D bioprinting producer Osteopore joined in.
The recenlty opened research center has space for 12 PhD students. The state Australia has funded the center and hopes for more achievements with 3D bioprinting.
It’s important that research centers and industry combine to meet these needs. We at ACES are excited to be able to provide our state-of-the-art 3D printing facilities and highly skilled personnel to this venture. We look forward to working with our colleagues at QUT and other research training organizations
With the new ACES research center Australia wants to become the number 1 in bioprinting worldwide. So we can be excited which new things they will develop in their newly build laboratories.
