CERATIZIT achieves Gold status from EcoVadis for sustainability performance

The company CERATIZIT, specializing in carbide and cutting tools, has been awarded a Gold rating by EcoVadis. This places CERATIZIT among the top three percent of its industry in terms of sustainability. The rating recognizes the company’s commitment to continuous improvement in environmental responsibility, social accountability, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Over the past two years, CERATIZIT has advanced from a Bronze to a Gold rating, a milestone that underscores the effectiveness of its sustainability strategy.

EcoVadis is a globally recognized platform that evaluates companies based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. These include environmental management, labor and human rights, ethical business practices, and sustainable procurement.

“The Gold rating is the result of the dedication and hard work of many colleagues across various departments at CERATIZIT,” said Andreas Lackner, Board Spokesperson for CERATIZIT. “Our current EcoVadis rating shows that we are on the right track. We aim not only to impress our customers with outstanding performance, quality, and service but also to support them in developing solutions for a more sustainable future.”

CERATIZIT has set ambitious goals: by 2025, the company aims to take a leading role in sustainability within its industry. The Gold rating marks a significant milestone on this path, highlighting the progress already made and inspiring the company to intensify its efforts.

“We are very proud to be recognized as one of the industry leaders in sustainability,” Lackner added. “This Gold rating from EcoVadis motivates us to continue our efforts and drive positive change within our sector.”
