A report by the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics shows strong growth in the production of 3D printers for 2025. The data comes from a comprehensive analysis of industrial development and refers to the field of digital product manufacturing. It covers 3D printing technology together with other systems for automated and intelligent production.

Specifically, the report cites a 100.5 percent increase in production of 3D printers compared to the previous year. This would mean that the output of Chinese manufacturers has doubled in mathematical terms. The statistics do not distinguish between individual companies, but summarize the entire sector. Manufacturers active in this field include Bambu Lab, Creality, Elegoo, Anycubic, Farsoon, and Bright Laser.

The report itself remains at a high level of abstraction and classifies the growth as part of a general trend toward industrial modernization. It does not contain any statements on the causes or market shares of individual suppliers. However, observers assume that the growth is unevenly distributed. Larger suppliers with high sales volumes are likely to have accounted for a significant portion of the increase, while smaller manufacturers recorded lower growth rates.

The figure is striking when compared internationally. There is no evidence of similarly strong increases in production for other large manufacturers outside China. Although smaller companies can achieve high percentage growth rates, their unit sales are at a significantly lower level. Chinese manufacturers, on the other hand, produce several million devices per year.

The figures indicate that Chinese suppliers are becoming increasingly important in the global 3D printing market. This impression is reinforced by recent investments by large Chinese corporations in several 3D printing companies. No comparable developments are known to date in Western markets.
