CR-3D presents advanced solutions at Formnext 2024

CR-3D presented a range of technologies at this year’s Formnext, the world’s leading trade fair for additive manufacturing. With new products and revised models, the company is setting new trends in industrial 3D printing technology and offering solutions for a wider range of applications and increased efficiency.

The focus is on the I65X-IDEX Expand, a large-format printer with an installation space of 600 x 1000 x 1000 mm. This model is aimed at industrial applications that require large and complex components. The IDEX technology (Independent Dual Extruder) allows the simultaneous processing of different materials or colors, which makes production more flexible and economical.

The existing I444-IDEX+, I655-IDEX+ and C2-IDEX+ models have also been fundamentally revised. With a new mainboard and optimized firmware, the printing speed has been doubled. These improvements increase productivity and make the devices powerful tools for demanding applications.

In the software area, CR-3D is presenting the new version of the SliCR-3D software. A particular highlight is Voxel Control, which makes it possible to specifically vary material properties within a component. This function offers new design options, especially for functional prototypes and end products, and improves adaptability to specific requirements.

CR-3D is also expanding its material portfolio with FlexFibCR20, a flexible filament with a Shore hardness of 20, which is ideal for elastic applications such as seals or medical models. The combination of flexibility and stability opens up new areas of application in the industrial environment.

Increased efficiency is also the focus of the new XL Masterspool system and the QuiCR ToolSwap system. Large spools minimize the need for material changes, while the quick-change system for print heads reduces downtime and enables flexible use.
