The metrology specialist Creaform, a subsidiary of AMETEK, has significantly expanded its software offering in the field of 3D measurement solutions with the introduction of Creaform.OS and the Creaform Metrology Suite. The aim of the new platforms is to simplify the integration of hardware and software in 3D scanning applications and to enable more efficient workflows.
The Creaform.OS software platform, which has been specially developed for use with the company’s measuring systems, is at the heart of the further development. The platform comprises the three central acquisition modules Scan, Probe and Photogrammetry. In addition to a fundamental revision of the user interface, Creaform.OS offers extended customization options. For example, users can customize the menu structure and toolbars to suit their specific applications. A newly developed lighting engine also improves the visualization of scanned 3D data and creates greater clarity for complex measurement tasks.
Creaform.OS is complemented by the Creaform Metrology Suite, which has also been redesigned and contains comprehensive software modules for various metrological challenges. These include modules for reverse engineering, dimensional inspections and automated quality control processes. A dedicated module for dynamic tracking also enables the exact tracking and positioning of multiple objects in real time.
“These platforms have been developed with optimal usability in mind, offering a versatile suite of tools designed to simplify workflows, solve industry-specific challenges and drive long-term growth,” explains Jérôme-Alexandre Lavoie, Director of Product Management at Creaform, adding: ”Innovation is in every aspect of Creaform’s hardware and software solutions. We build partnerships based on trust, adaptability and technologies that not only meet today’s needs, but also shape the future”
In the long term, the software solutions should not only make existing processes more efficient, but also help to master the technical challenges of future applications.
