After some delays, Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Creality has started selling its new flagship 3D printer. The new Creality K2 Plus is the further development of the K1 and, with the Creality Filament System (CFS), also offers the option of 3D printing with multiple colors simultaneously.
The Creality Filament System (CFS) is a response to the successful 3D printer solutions from Bambu Lab. Other manufacturers such as Anycubic have also presented similar systems in the past.
Creality’s K2 Plus filament system offers RFID-capable, automatic identification of materials. This enables the automatic loading, unloading and replacement of filaments and thus 16-color printing. The Creality Filament System offers space for up to four filament rolls per box as well as support for up to four parallel CFS units for a total of 16 rolls of filament. CFS is equipped with various sensors and also offers dehumidification for the filament. This ensures that the condition of the material always remains optimal. The installation space is specified as 350 x 350 x 350 mm.
In addition, the new K2 Plus offers active chamber preheating, automatic leveling and FOC closed-loop motors. The system costs 1,499 euros.
