Digital Dot, a Benelux-based supplier of large format printing systems, consumables, software and technical support, has announced that specialist 3D printing service bureau, 3D Next Level, has installed the first Massivit 1800 3D Printer in the region.

Based in Maassluis, the Netherlands, 3D Next Level invested in the world’s first and only large format 3D printer for visual communications to expand its application capabilities and undertake a more diverse range of projects in order to win new business.

Commenting on the integration of the Massivit 1800, Lennart van den Doel, co-founder and co-owner of 3D Next Level, says, “The Massivit 1800 is the last piece of the puzzle. With this solution we can truly stand out from the competition as we are the only company in Benelux to offer large format 3D printing with the capability to produce attention-grabbing models. I believe these applications will genuinely increase our clients’ customer interaction and exposure.”

Building Business from the Get-Go

While looking to enhance its 3D printing capability, the family-run company was introduced to the Massivit 1800 by Digital Dot at the industry tradeshow, RapidPro. According to van den Doel, he was amazed by the scale achievable with the printer. “For me, the capability to create huge, eye-catching models unlocks the door to new and varied business opportunities as it enables our customers to better engage with their audience,” he says.

As well as installing the Massivit 1800, Digital Dot provided 3D Next Level with a comprehensive customer database. According to van den Doel, this will be essential to securing jobs within the advertising, events and luxury goods sectors, to name a few.

He explains, “Despite the printer being installed relatively recently, its already proving fruitful. We’re having promising conversations with a number of companies about how we can elevate their campaigns to a new dimension with this revolutionary technology.”

Keynote presentation

As it continues to promote its latest solution offering, Digital Dot will exhibit at the forthcoming sign & display tradeshow, Sign2Com (16-18th September – stand 4121) which will see Nico Desmedt, Founder and Owner, deliver the opening keynote session. Entitled ‘Starting with 3D printed POS, signs and advertising’, this presentation will take place on Monday 17th September at 10:30am in Hall 4. Attendees will learn how they can win new business and differentiate their offering by producing visually-captivating, large format 3D printed applications for their customers. This includes the ability to offer head-turning POS/ POP displays, customer-engaging advertising and marketing campaigns, as well as illuminated channel letters and complex soft signage.

Desmedt concludes, “We are delighted that 3D Next Level has chosen the Massivit 1800. Given Lennart’s passion, we are confident that the Massivit 1800 will prove integral to 3D Next Level’s growing success. This sale is reflective of how companies are investing in the latest solutions to ignite new levels of creativity, boost their profit margins and enhance their competitive edge.”
