DMG MORI is expanding its 3D printer portfolio with the new LASERTEC 30 SLM US industrial machine. The 3D printer will be presented for the first time at RAPID + TCT 2023 in Chicago.
The LASERTEC 30 SLM US, which will begin shipping in December 2023, focuses on best-in-class cost per part and complex geometries in a build envelope of 11.8 x 11.8 x 11.8 inches. Adaptive beam control enables dynamic changes in laser power, laser speed and laser beam profile. Non-contact recoating improves powder deposition freedom.
DMG MORI is responding to the growing demand for additive technologies with R&D and manufacturing for additive manufacturing in the U.S., Japan and Germany. The LASERTEC 30 SLM US will be the first additive manufacturing product to meet these demands.
DMG MORI has been adding additive technologies to its portfolio since 2013. The LASERTEC DED hybrid and LASERTEC SLM models enable highly productive manufacturing of additive metal components. In the ADDITIVE INTELLIGENCE consulting area, DMG MORI supports beginners and experienced users in fully exploiting the potential of metallic 3D printing.
The launch of the LASERTEC 30 SLM US coincides with DMG MORI USA’s 40th anniversary year. DMG MORI has 12 locations in the U.S., including technology centers, showrooms and the DMG MORI Manufacturing USA facility in Davis, California. The new machine will be unveiled at RAPID + TCT 2023 in Chicago.
