DyeMansion reduces post-processing costs with expanded print-to-product portfolio

DyeMansion is appearing at Formnext 2025 in Frankfurt under the motto “More DyeMansion, More Efficient” and is placing a clear focus on cost structures in additive manufacturing. While many AM users are now ramping up production volumes, overall operating costs and the level of automation in post-processing are moving into the spotlight. This is precisely where the manufacturer is positioning several new solutions that address the entire print-to-product workflow – from surface finishing and coloring through to operator qualification.

At the core of the trade show presence is the integration of the ASM VX1 into DyeMansion’s own vapor smoothing portfolio. The system offers a large process chamber in the entry-level segment and, with its plug-and-play concept and low cost per batch, is aimed in particular at service providers and OEMs with smaller production volumes. In addition, DyeMansion is introducing the L-RR Refresh Cartridge, a black dyeing solution that reduces cycle time and, according to the company, can cut the cost per run by up to 70 percent. In combination with the DM60 Reservoir, the need for fresh water and wastewater can be significantly reduced without compromising on color quality and reproducibility.

Details have also been refined in mechanical and chemical post-processing. The revised manual version of the Powerfuse S requires around a quarter less floor space thanks to an optimized layout and features an integrated solvent recovery system. With the new Basket Max insert, the usable volume per run increases by around 20 percent, enabling both higher throughput and larger parts without incurring additional operating costs. The Powershot X blasting system receives IoT connectivity and thus becomes the final machine in the DyeMansion workflow to provide key figures such as run times, program states and machine utilization centrally. This makes it possible to identify bottlenecks, reduce downtime and plan maintenance intervals based on data.

“The future belongs to those who create value, not just features. Our focus is on innovations that push additive manufacturing toward greater scalability, competitiveness, and sustainability,” says Felix Ewald, CEO & Co-Founder of DyeMansion.

Beyond hardware, DyeMansion is introducing the “DyeMansion Campus,” an online platform for training and self-service documentation. Operators can complete standardized training there, while companies can preserve know-how and onboard new employees cost-effectively. Overall, the company is positioning itself more strongly as a workflow partner for users who want to transition powder bed systems or other polymer AM processes into scalable, economically robust series production. The complete portfolio, including the ASM VX1 and all new options, will be on display at Formnext 2025 in Hall 12.1, Booth C31.
